What foundation types are available?

We can install on thermal blocks, a concrete slab, a gravel pad, crawl-space, wooden post foundation, or paving stones. The most appropriate option is assessed on a site-by-site basis and installed as part of the price.

Do you install outside of Mainland UK?

We install across Mainland UK as standard. For island locations and areas outside of Mainland UK, please contact us before ordering and we will provide a tailored delivery and installation price.

Can I add insulation?

Yes — insulation is available as an optional upgrade, with all prices including supply and installation. Floor insulation is £900, a roof insulation package is £1,386, wall insulation is £1,575, or the full floor, roof, and wall insulation package is £4,163. Please contact us to discuss the best option for your intended use.

Can I upgrade the roof covering?

Yes — an EPDM rubber roof covering upgrade is available for £1,100. For a flat roof, EPDM is the right long-term choice — fully fitted, seamless, and virtually maintenance-free.

What about electrics, plastering, painting, and other specialist work?

All specialist fit-out work — including electrical packages, plastering, painting, and internal lining — is priced entirely separately based on your specific requirements. How does the door configuration work?

The Q-BIC Alu 70 D features two aluminium sliding doors, each 400cm wide and 206cm tall, positioned on two elevations. Both are double-glazed with tempered glass. When fully open, they create a near-seamless connection between the interior and the garden on two sides simultaneously.

Do I need planning permission?

In many cases a building of this size will fall within Permitted Development rights for residential properties in England and Wales, provided it is used as an ancillary garden building, is sited within the curtilage of a dwelling house, and does not cover more than 50% of the garden area. We always recommend confirming with your local planning authority before ordering.

What does the natural untreated finish mean?

The building is supplied in its natural Nordic spruce finish — untreated and ready for you to apply your preferred exterior stain, oil, or treatment. We can also supply and apply an exterior treatment as an optional upgrade.

How long does installation take?
