This cabin belongs to one of our customers in Cockerham, Lancashire. They didn't come to us to buy a new building — they came to us because the left-hand side of the roof had started to rot, and the front overhang had begun to sag quite badly.
We didn't build this cabin. But that doesn't matter — we can repair it. And rather than tell them they needed a new roof, we were straight with them: this was a repair job, and a minor one at that.
What We Found
The left-hand roof section had taken on moisture over the years and the timber had deteriorated. The front overhang had lost its structural support and was visibly sagging. Neither issue required a full roof replacement. Both could be repaired properly, at a fraction of the cost.
What We Did
We returned the following day and carried out a full repair — replacing the rotten section, re-supporting the front overhang, and leaving the cabin structurally sound and weathertight.
