This is a Dunster House modular cabin, fully installed from the ground up in Bloxwich, Birmingham. Ground screws driven into the garden, timber frame base, full cabin assembly with light grey composite cladding, insulation throughout, electrics run and fitted — and a finished result that looks like a proper architectural addition to the garden. Every element completed by our own in-house team. No subcontractors, no compromises.
This isn't a flat-pack shed. This is a fully insulated, fully wired, fully clad modular garden room — built to last and finished to a standard that most people wouldn't expect from a garden building.

Stage 1 — Ground Screws & Foundation
Every build starts with the foundation. For this cabin we used ground screws — helical steel piles driven directly into the ground without any excavation or concrete. They go in within hours, they're fully adjustable for a perfectly level base, and they cause zero disruption to the garden. No curing time, no mess, no waiting.
Stage 2 — Frame & Panel Assembly
With the base level and secure, the modular panels go up quickly. Dunster House's system uses precision-engineered sections that fit together accurately — the frame rises fast and the structure is solid from the moment it's assembled.
Stage 3 — Insulation & Membrane
Once the frame is up, we fit Recticel insulation boards throughout — into the wall studs and the roof build-up. A breathable membrane goes over all external surfaces before cladding, keeping the structure weathertight during the build and protecting against moisture long-term.
Stage 4 — Electrics
We ran a full electrical installation throughout — consumer unit, sockets, and lighting circuits. The customer can plug in, switch on, and use the space immediately. No extension leads trailing across the garden, no limitations on what the space can do.
Stage 5 — Cladding & Completion
The external walls are clad in light grey composite panels — low maintenance, weatherproof, and sharp-looking. No painting, no treating, no annual upkeep. Combined with the anthracite grey aluminium French doors and full-height fixed glazing, the finished cabin is a world away from where the garden started.
