Some garden buildings are functional. Some are beautiful. The Palmako Emilia L is both — and when a homeowner in Tarporley, Cheshire asked us to transform their open rural garden into something truly special, this was the structure we reached for.

The Brief
The customer had space, ambition, and a clear vision: a permanent, low-maintenance structure that would flood with natural light, complement the rural surroundings, and work equally well as a greenhouse, garden room, or entertaining space. They wanted it fully installed — not a kit to assemble themselves.
The Palmako Emilia L was the answer.
Groundworks: The Foundation That Makes It Last
Every installation we carry out begins the same way — with groundworks done properly. We excavated the area, laid a damp-proof membrane, and installed a full steel mesh reinforcement grid before the ready-mix concrete arrived on site.
The concrete was poured, levelled, and left to cure fully before any timber was touched. This isn't a shortcut we're willing to take — a structure of this quality deserves a base that will outlast it.
The Palmako Emilia L: Timber, Glass & Light
The Emilia L is built from kiln-dried, precision-machined Nordic spruce — pressure-treated to withstand the British climate for decades without the need for annual maintenance. Full perimeter glazing means natural light pours in from every angle, making the interior feel open and connected to the garden at all times.
Glazed Doors & Chrome Ironmongery
Access is via full-height glazed double doors — hung on the timber frame and fitted with quality chrome knob handles and a latch mechanism. They open the full width of the entrance elevation, giving unobstructed access to the entire 13.8m² interior.
