This is one of our most recent completed installations — a Dunster House timber log cabin fully installed in Shrewsbury, Shropshire by our own in-house team, from groundworks through to handover.
The Starting Point
The customer had a well-kept garden with an existing raised patio area finished in large-format grey porcelain tiles and a gravel border. The brief was simple: a quality timber cabin that would sit neatly within the garden, feel like a proper room, and be built to last. No subcontractors, no compromises.

The Build
We began by preparing the base and positioning the cabin kit. The Dunster House log cabin features interlocking timber wall sections, which our team assembled methodically to ensure every course was level and square before moving upward.

The Roof
The cabin was fitted with a full EPDM rubber roof membrane — the same material we use across all our flat and mono-pitch roof installations. EPDM is seamless, UV-stable, and carries a 20+ year life expectancy with zero maintenance. It was rolled out, bonded, and trimmed to a clean finish with drip edge detailing all round.

Doors, Windows & Finishing
The cabin was specified with anthracite grey-framed double doors and matching side windows — a clean, contemporary look that sits well against the natural timber. The doors open outward onto the patio, making the most of the garden outlook.

The Finished Result
The completed cabin sits perfectly within the garden — fresh natural timber, anthracite frames, and a clean EPDM roof line. The gravel surround ties it neatly into the existing patio landscaping, and the whole structure feels solid, well-proportioned, and built to last.
